Crosskeys National School is a co-educational, Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Kilmore. The school serves families in the parish of Denn and surrounding areas. The school opened its doors in 1978 and replaced several other schools in the parish. Our school caters for all children from Junior Infants up to graduation from Crosskeys National School in 6th class.
Crosskeys is a rural village conveniently located roughly halfway between Cavan Town and Ballyjamesduff. As a school we are very lucky to have a highly dedicated, hard working and creative staff in Crosskeys N.S. who create a learning environment based on play, fun and learning from the environment. As a professional body of teachers, the staff are committed to working in partnership with parents to ensure every child reaches their full potential in a happy and stimulating learning environment. The school aims to promote full and harmonious development of all aspects of the child. We foster a love of learning, working to the best of one’s ability and developing a sense of respect and responsibility amongst our pupils.
Our wish is to educate children so that they are enabled to become balanced, well-rounded, self-confident and happy young people. Respect for each individual within the school community is also a core value within Crosskeys National School.
We are very proud of our pupils and our school, and we sincerely hope that every child will enjoy their time with us.
